EVENTS FOR 2020
We will be holding a wonderful explorative workshop on Saturday March 7th for children incorporating our Horse Assisted Therapy programme with our psychotherapist Charlotte Collins.
Empowerment is the process of becoming stronger and more confident. To empower children is to guide them to feel valued, capable and to realise they play the role of creator in their own lives and futures.
1000ksh for the day
The day will encourage children to take pride in their greatest asset and individuality. Continuous use of empowerment throughout a child’s lifespan, can allow them to easily accept changes, know how to appropriately deal with challenges, and have the ability to self-regulate their emotions more easily.
The purpose of teaching mindfulness to our children is to give them skills to develop their awareness of their inner and outer experiences, to understand how emotions manifest in their bodies and to recognize when their attention has wandered and to provide tools to support this. Mindfulness is also fun for our kids. There is an emerging body of research that indicates mindfulness can help children improve their abilities to pay attention, to calm down when they are upset and to make better decisions. In short, it helps with emotional regulation and cognitive focus.
The day will start at 10am and finish at 4pm. Please send your child or children with their own packed lunch, water and juice will be available!
